Loyalist College - Belleville Campus

Loyalist College - Belleville Campus

376 Wallbridge-Loyalist Road, Belleville, Ontario, Canada

About

Loyalist College draws inspiration from the pioneering spirit of the Loyalist settlers who originally settled along the northern shores of Lake Ontario. Loyalist College officially opened its doors in 1967 in a local high school and by 1968 had a permanent home along Wallbridge-Loyalist Road. Two years later, the demand for more space and resourceful teaching led to the construction of the Lennox and Addington Wing to house the School of Technology and Retraining. By 1985, further additions to both the building and College curriculum included innovative programs such as Photojournalism, Television Broadcasting and Health Sciences, and also witnessed a vital linking of the First Nations Technical Institute of Tyendinaga.

In response to the growing need for skilled trades, Loyalist opened the Bay of Quinte Skills Centre in 2011. This modern, 121,800-square-foot facility was built with significant investments from both provincial and federal governments. Thanks to its continuous growth and commitment to innovation, Loyalist College has earned a remarkable 96% satisfaction rate from its graduates. Today, the College remains a leader in post-secondary education, offering a wide range of programs to both Canadian and international students, and is recognized as one of the top colleges in Canada.

The Loyalist College is committed to fostering a welcoming environment where international students are valued and supported at every step. The campuses in Belleville and Port Hope are safe, friendly, and easy to navigate, offering a lower cost of living compared to larger cities. Faculty and staff take the time to know each student personally, providing individualized support and monitoring progress to ensure success. Beyond academics, students can enjoy the abundant greenspaces, parks, trails, and waterfronts in these semi-rural communities.

Offering over 70 full-time programs, Loyalist equips international students with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in today's dynamic world. Loyalist College provides personalized, hands-on education through small class sizes and cutting-edge facilities. The programs are tailored to meet the demands of today's industries, equipping students with real-world skills and experiences for a successful career. They are committed to diversity and inclusion, creating a sense of belonging for all students. Whether they are studying in Belleville or Port Hope, Loyalist ensures that international students feel welcome, supported, and ready to succeed.
