Program Summary

Students will be ready to design and build sustainable projects that consider the environment, the community and future generations. The Foundation in Arts, Architecture and Design could be the degree for those who would like to see their classroom ideas become reality in full 1:1 scale. Graduates will unlock the door to their future career with the Foundation program.

The University of Plymouth's Interdisciplinary Design Studio inspires students to challenge, disrupt and rethink design practices to create unique and compelling objects, artefacts and user experiences. They will go hands-on with materials in the University's extensive workshops to design products, furniture, ceramics and lighting. Graduates will develop a rich portfolio that is relevant to the evolving needs of professional design practice and become a Designer Maker, or a Designer for Industry, or combine areas of 3D design practice.
