Program Summary
The IIM in Engineering will help students to learn the theoretical and practical framework for engineering modelling and develop research methods to tackle engineering problems at postgraduate level. Upon completion, they will progress to The School of Science and Engineering. The school has built a long and successful international reputation for excellent teaching and topical research.
Using analytical and modelling techniques students will develop their engineering skills and knowledge to meet the increasing demands of modern civil engineering. They will develop their skills, knowledge and understanding in both structural engineering and concrete materials and see how the two areas relate to each other.
Students will also study a variety of engineering and research topics including computational analysis of structures, concrete materials and environmental management. Under the guidance of the academic staff, students will have the opportunity to undertake an industrially relevant research project.
