Program Description

The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a two-semester program designed specifically for students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms, but also includes the benefit of English-language and student support to help them thrive.

Information Systems (IS) is an academic discipline focused on the systems used to collect, organize, store, and process information. The major encompasses two broad areas: 1) acquisition, deployment and management of information technology (IT) resources and 2) development of information systems infrastructure to support an organization’s processes.

Skills developed within this major include: Ability to solve business problems using information technology; Critical thinking; Communication skills; Project management; Technology management; Computer programming; Database.
