Advanced Master's Accelerator - Master of Science - Biology

Master's Degree

Program Summary

The Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program (Advanced MAP) is a one-semester, pre-master’s program designed specifically for international students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms, but who also want the benefit of English-language and academic training that will help them succeed in their postgraduate program. The program curriculum offers a balance of degree-specific and MAP-exclusive courses. Students will be equipped with the practical, degree-specific vocabulary and research skills they need to excel in their coursework.

A Master of Science in Biology from Adelphi University opens up a wide range of career paths. Some graduates go on to medical or dental school. Others participate in research doctoral programs. Many others go on to successful careers in biotechnology, public health, or environmental law.

To help students with their career goals, during their M.S. in Biology program they have the option to concentrate in one of three areas:
  • Molecular biology
  • Physiology
  • Ecology, evolution, and conservation biology
