Program Summary

The Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms but who also want the benefit of English- language and academic training that will help them succeed in their post-graduate program. The program curriculum offers a balance of professional and Master’s Accelerator Program exclusive courses. Students will be equipped with the practical, degree-specific vocabulary and research skills needed to excel in their coursework. Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program students will be enrolled as full-time students within the Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program and will earn 6 credits toward their selected degree.

The Master of Science in Data Science and Engineering program prepares students to pursue careers in data science and engineering, where valuable insights are derived from massive amounts of raw data. The high‐quality curriculum offers an excellent balance between theory and application, equipping students with foundational skills and state‐of‐the‐art technologies related to the next generation of big data applications.

This program blends graduate‐level courses in core topics like data mining, machine learning, and statistical learning. The program also offers a wide variety of electives in addition to a required capstone experience, in which students apply their knowledge and skills to a real‐world application scenario.

There are two formal options in the program: the data engineering option, administered by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, and the data science option, managed by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
