Program Summary

The general aim of the Bachelor of Accounting is to provide the formal educational requirements for students in order that they may function competently in the accounting professional, specialist and managerial positions in private or public practice, commerce, industry and the public sector.

For each 8-point subject students are enrolled in, they should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, intensive schools, or examinations. If they are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of approved course design.

Students enrolled at Charles Sturt University Melbourne will complete structured work integrated learning activities as part of their program of study. The opportunity to undertake work placement may be available for students contingent on satisfactory progression and grades.
