Program Description

The English Literature program at Trent University enable students to pursue their passions through poetry, prose, plays and other texts. Whether students are enthusiastic about novels or enjoy the succinctness of critical writing, in English at Trent University they can explore the lasting impact of how people write and share stories of the human experience. Students will explore the written word across time periods ranging from medieval romance to the Harlem renaissance to contemporary graphic fiction. Students will also get career-ready with creativity, critical inquiry, and strong communication skills, and through the English Literature Co-op stream’s they can put their writing styles and language skills to the real world test while gaining valuable career experience.
