Students study the histories, traditions and languages of China, Japan, Oceania and Southeast Asia. They examine what makes this region such a cultural and economic powerhouse. Students attend UVic's field schools in China, Taiwan, Japan and Indonesia. They graduate with strong language skills and detailed regional knowledge. Students focus their degree on Chinese, Japanese or the Indonesian/Malay language.
