Program Summary
The BEng (Hons) Engineering, Design and Innovation (Extended) degree will develop students' design and engineering skills so they can create new products. Students will get an understanding of core engineering disciplines plus specialist knowledge in product and computer-aided design.
As the course includes an extra year to prepare students for degree-level learning, the University of Greenwich asks for lower entry points than for the standard BEng.
Students should graduate from this undergraduate course as engineers and inventors with the ability to set up their own engineering business. As entrepreneurs, they'll have the business skills to turn their ideas into reality. Learners can also benefit from strong links to local and national industry such as Ford, BAE and many small to medium enterprises.
Learners go to a range of companies and organizations of varying sizes for their placements, including large multi-national firms, government agencies, the NHS and small to medium sized companies engaged in research, analytical services and manufacturing.
