Program Description

Shifting careers into overdrive with a degree in mechanical engineering from Central Michigan University. Students will be able to take advantage of hands-on learning courses and internship opportunities that will give them the professional experience to finish ahead of the competition. Conduct research in areas such as robotics, intelligent machines and vibrations, and present the research results at CMU's annual campus wide Student Research and Creative Endeavors Exhibition. Into racing? Students will also be able to design, build and race a vehicle with CMU's Society of Automotive Engineers Baja Team or the Formula One team.​​ CMU's undergraduate engineering programs were ranked 86th among the nation's universities that offer bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering by U.S. News & World Report for their 2015 rankings of engineering programs without a doctorate degree.
