In the first two years, you'll take essential courses in subjects like cell biology, organic chemistry, calculus, and physics to build a strong academic foundation. Once you enter your junior year, you’ll explore biochemistry in greater depth, including research opportunities, as you study topics like genetics, metabolism, and the molecular functions of cells. While there are required courses, you’ll also have the flexibility to choose electives in areas such as anatomy, drug discovery, and neurobiology.
