You can choose between a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, each offering different tracks, specializations, and benefits to help you achieve your goals. The faculty includes leading experts in the field, such as members of the National Academy of Sciences and recipients of Presidential Early Career Awards. For driven students, we provide opportunities for faculty-sponsored independent research and honors programs in both Biology and Biology and Society.

The program offers a variety of areas of study, including Developmental Genetics, which explores how genes control the growth and development of organisms. Ecology and Evolution focus on the relationships between organisms and their environments, as well as the processes that drive evolutionary change. Environmental Biology examines the impact of human activities on ecosystems and ways to address environmental challenges. Additionally, the Neuroscience track delves into the structure and function of the nervous system, offering insights into brain function and behavior.
