Program Summery

Sheridan College's Business program explores opportunities in business to help students decide upon a career path. Through practical, hands-on classroom activities, students will learn to make business decisions, plan, work with a team, use business computer applications and write effective business correspondence. The first year will provide students with a solid grounding in business fundamentals, and the second year will allow them to specialize, taking courses that meet their particular career interests and goals. Students will have an opportunity to network with prospective employers, distribute their résumé and learn about local career opportunities at the annual Sheridan Business Career Fair. Recruiters from more than 50 top-level local and national employers regularly attend this event.

The Business diploma program will cover such topics as analysis of the business environment, managing a business, marketing, accounting, human resource, finance, and Business Information Systems.
