The Diploma of Film will teach students how to shoot, edit, script, direct and produce professional quality digital media. Learn how to apply high-level cinematography and visual effects to films using professional equipment, contemporary software, and processes used by industry experts every day. This course will help them develop skills in storytelling, narrative structure and interview techniques, as well as experimenting with different camera types, scenarios, editing and post production tools. A dedicated practical studio lab is undertaken as the final trimester of the Diploma, where they are guided by experts to develop hands-on technical skills using industry-standard software and procedures. Students will also have the opportunity to build a professional portfolio piece.
At the completion of this course, students will be able to:
