Program Summary

The Diploma in Health Sciences provides a good grounding in the many disciplines that exist within the field of health science. While the main focus is on biological and biochemical subjects, candidates will studies will extend into chemistry, cell biology and anatomy. They will develop strong foundations for entry into the second year of a number of Griffith University degree level programs in health sciences.

Graduates will be eligible to register to practice as a Physiotherapist within Australia following accreditation. Students will undertake biomedical, physical and behavioral science courses as well as physiotherapy academic and clinical courses. This program provides an innovative, student-centered and employability-focused curriculum with a strong emphasis on client-centered and evidence based-practice as well as experiential and inter-professional learning.
