Program Description

The Diploma of Science is a direct pathway to second year of Deakin bachelor degrees in Science, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science (majors in Management and Sustainability, Wildlife and Conservation Biology), Forensic Science, Zoology and Animal Science.

Deakin University’s Bachelor of Forensic Science exposes students to the full scope of modern forensic science, from simulated crime scenes to courtroom presentations. With a strong focus on practical training, they will graduate with the skills needed to confidently examine, interpret and present forensic evidence. Enhancing their courtroom skills by building knowledge of the science behind criminal investigations and gain practical experience in unique crime scene training facility.

Forensic science at Deakin University is a comprehensive and flexible degree. Students will cover a wide range of disciplines including illicit drugs analysis, DNA analysis and more. They can customise degree to their interests by selecting to specialise in forensic biology or forensic chemistry.
