Integrated Masters

Program Summery

The course includes a 9-12 month overseas placement during year three. Students who choose to study and work abroad have the opportunity to experience a different culture, expand their network, and develop their employability skills. This practical overseas experience is highly beneficial and enhances their CV when they seek graduate employment.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the main areas of chemistry before focusing on an area of personal interest or importance through a substantial research project. This project is worth half of the credits of their final year. Additionally, students will spend a significant amount of time in the laboratories, gaining hands-on experience and honing their research, mathematical, and computational skills.

The course places a strong emphasis on research, supported by analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving. Students also have ample opportunities to develop transferrable professional skills. By completing this course, students will acquire all the necessary attributes to become self-sufficient working chemists.
