Integrated Masters

Program Summery

This accredited course offers individuals the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and practical experience to become proficient civil engineers. The course incorporates laboratory sessions, field trips, individual projects, and design classes to reinforce the concepts taught in lectures and tutorials while enhancing practical abilities in surveying and design.

Participants will have the chance to select from a variety of authentic, real-world engineering problems and industry-focused scenarios to work on independently or in collaboration with fellow student engineers from different disciplines. Collaborative work emulates the dynamics of an engineering team and facilitates the development of essential professional skills such as effective teamwork and communication. Additionally, our accessible makerspace serves as a dedicated space for designing, creating, and fostering collaboration.

Moreover, students will have the opportunity to engage in a paid placement of their choice, including international locations outside of the UK. This invaluable experience allows individuals to immerse themselves in a professional work environment and apply the skills acquired throughout the course. Notably, previous students have successfully completed placements at renowned organizations such as Arup, WSP, and Mott MacDonald.

The MEng program further enables individuals to expand and fortify their knowledge in civil engineering. Participants will benefit from advanced learning opportunities in design and management, as well as engage in a comprehensive multidisciplinary engineering design project.
