Integrated Masters - Master of Engineering - Civil and Environmental Engineering (H226)

Integrated Masters

Program Summery

Civil and environmental engineers are responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of the spaces and structures that shape everyday life. Their focus is on addressing environmental concerns, such as waste management, contaminated land, and water treatment.

This course, which has received accreditation, equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to become competent civil and environmental engineers. Through a combination of laboratory sessions, field trips, individual projects, and design classes, students are able to apply the information learned in lectures and tutorials and develop their abilities in surveying and design.

Students are given the opportunity to select from a variety of authentic, real-world engineering problems and industry-focused scenarios to work on, either individually or in collaboration with fellow students from different disciplines. Group work is designed to simulate the dynamics of an engineering team and aids in the development of essential professional skills, such as teamwork and effective communication. Additionally, our open access makerspace provides a dedicated space for students to engage in design, creation, and collaboration.

The MEng program offers the chance to expand and enhance one's knowledge in the field of civil and environmental engineering. Students will benefit from advanced instruction in design and management, as well as the opportunity to participate in a multidisciplinary engineering design project.
