Integrated Masters

Program Summary

Accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (ICE, IHE, IStructE and CIHT), the MEng Civil Engineering course combines a three-year undergraduate degree with a year at master’s level, preparing students for a broad range of rewarding careers in engineering.

Civil engineers work on a project from beginning to end. They are responsible for the planning, design, construction and operation of the physical environment that allows society to function. This integrated Master's course explores areas such as construction management and technology, engineering geology, hydraulics and soil mechanics. Learners can also study specialisms in water engineering, bridge design and the design of concrete structures.

The degree meets the full academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer and prepares students for engineering roles within construction, transportation, energy, water, and environmental and coastal defence. Students can also benefit from Greenwich's links to clients, such as Atkins, BAM Nuttall and Amey and contractors across the industry.
