Students can enhance their professional marketability and grow their career, while continuing to work full or part-time as needed, with a master’s in communication from Purdue University Northwest. The highly flexible master’s degree program offers a broad range of courses on theories and research methodologies associated with rhetoric, interpersonal communication, performance studies, media studies and so much more.

The master’s in communication is designed specifically for students who live and work in northwest Indiana. Students will complete advanced, highly focused studies in human communication to advance their career, prep for a doctoral program or qualify to teach dual credit.

The program was originally designed to meet the needs of individuals who live and work in northwest Indiana and who want to complete advanced courses of study in communication studies. Today, a diverse student body–including international–is enrolled in the program. Numerous graduate students have successfully completed the program to qualify for career advancement, to prepare for doctoral study, or to satisfy their own curiosity about the most fundamental human behavior: Communication.
