Program Description

In English (Public Texts) at Trent University, students will have the freedom to choose their area of focus and the stream that suits their goals.

In as little as one year, earn a Master’s degree in English (Public Texts) while exploring a variety of career tracks in communications, digital or print editing, information science, publishing, teaching, or scholarship.

At Trent University, students will find freedom and flexibility as they develop new ways of looking at the written word and the implications of “going public.” 

In this program students will gain leadership and mentorship experience as a teaching assistant and will benefit from renowned faculty expertise in a wide range of issues related to the production, circulation and reception of texts.
