Master of Arts - History - Applied

Master's Degree

Program Summary

A Master of Arts degree in History will permit deeper analysis and greater engagement with the subject than at the undergraduate level. Students will explore the historiography of different historical topics and learn what the historians have argued before our time. Then students will discover new ways to think about the past as they do their own research and they may take advantage of graduate student conferences to present their research to other scholars.

Students will engage deeply with the content area and develop sophisticated research methods, honing both their academic and professional skills. UCM’s History master’s degree is designed to support a wide range of career goals.

The Applied Public History track is designed for students interested in careers at museums, archives or national historic sites.
