The collection and use of quality health data is a specialised and essential skill. There is a need for more experienced health information experts to help provide high-quality health information management, which will ultimately improve care for future patients.
Build a highly rewarding career with La Trobe's Master of Health Information Management. Students will combine the clinical and business sides of healthcare to create a career improving the quality of patient care. They will prepare for this highly skilled profession by building strong foundations in areas like clinical classification, data analytics, health informatics and health systems management.
Then students will deepen their technical and professional expertise with professional practice placements in healthcare agencies. They'll also receive management training to help them step straight into senior roles in healthcare.
