Program Summary
The International Business Management MSc course will give students a systematic understanding of business organisations, their external environment and on how they create value sustainably. The degree programme focus is on providing knowledge for practical use, allowing students to develop business management skills that will enhance their career. Guided by London Metropolitan University's staff, students will learn about both the theory and the practice of business management.
The key aim of the course is to develop the decision making and interpersonal skills that are essential for a successful career in business and management. As part of the degree, students will have access to an individual leadership assessment and feedback software. This software will help identify students' strengths, and provide them with an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
The business simulation used will help bring business to life in the classroom. Competing in groups with other students, students will experiment with business strategies, test business ideas and experience the consequences of their actions in a virtual simulated business environment. The simulation will help them understand how teams work together to make decisions, manage risk and beat the competition.
Whilst not essential, any experiences of business, for example as employees, customers or managers will contribute in building and applying business concepts. London Metropolitan University focuses students' learning on the practical understanding of the global world of business, providing a rich environment where international experience and practice is shared. Students will have the opportunity to develop presentation, critical thinking, negotiation and problem solving skills, all of which are desirable in successful employees in the world of global business.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
