Mechanical Engineering-STEM

Mechanical engineering is among the most versatile fields in engineering. Students who earn a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering are well-equipped to pursue careers in areas such as design, product development, manufacturing, and testing across a wide range of industries. Many of our graduates have also gone on to excel in graduate studies, both at UB and at other top-tier engineering schools nationwide. This program provides undergraduates with numerous opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research. Students become part of a collaborative environment where they work alongside faculty members and graduate students who serve as mentors. Many participants say that some of their most valuable learning experiences come from pursuing their own ideas, taking initiative, and learning through trial and error.
