This program builds knowledge of how governments function on local, national, and global scales, while also equipping students with the skills needed for careers in public service, law, business, education, nonprofit work, political campaigns, and opinion research. Hofstra’s dynamic political science faculty is committed to providing quality instruction, personalized guidance, and engaging in scholarly research.

The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science has opened doors for graduates to pursue dynamic careers across various fields, including roles in government at the federal, state, and local levels. Alumni have also found success in law, business, international agencies, nonprofit organizations, campaign strategy and public opinion research, journalism, education, electoral affairs, and academic research and teaching at colleges and universities.​
