Psychology is an exciting field, and Stony Brook's degree programs will help you explore the complexities of human behavior. We offer both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree options, giving you the flexibility to tailor your studies to your career goals. Both programs cover the five core areas of psychology: Biopsychology, Clinical and Abnormal Psychology, Cognition and Perception, Developmental Psychology, and Social Psychology. Our faculty members are internationally recognized experts, holding editorial roles in major psychology journals, serving on grant panels for the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health, and receiving significant research funding. You’ll have the chance to collaborate with them in research labs, contribute to national conference presentations, and publish in top journals.​
