Public Health explores how diseases and health trends impact groups of people and looks at how scientific research and proven medical practices can benefit entire communities. This area of study equips you with a deep understanding of health science, while also building your abilities in investigation, logical reasoning, and tackling real-world health challenges.

In your first year, you’ll learn about health challenges from both local and international perspectives, while exploring the various social, environmental, biological, and historical influences on public health. During your second year, the focus shifts to developing your ability to analyze health research, assess the scale and causes of health problems, and understand strategies for prevention.

In the final year, your studies will cover areas like promoting health and well-being, examining health systems and policies, building leadership abilities, and conducting independent research in health-related topics. You’ll also take additional modules that explore Indigenous health, effective communication in healthcare, and planning health initiatives.

Hands-on learning is a key part of this course, with opportunities for community involvement through field visits, volunteering, and practical projects. The program equips you with globally recognized knowledge and competencies to pursue a career in the health sector.
