Program Description

The Academic English program helps students learn the English language and academic skills needed to study successfully at U.S. colleges and universities. The main program offers 6 levels of language instruction, from beginning to high advanced. Instruction focuses on building the speaking, listening, and writing skills that are essential to academic success.

WSU's Undergraduate Bridge program combines English language support with credit-bearing classes and personalized advising to help students smoothly transition to full university study. In most majors, Bridge students will graduate in the same amount of time as Direct Entry students.

Music is art in sound, universally beloved and an essential part of every culture on earth. People around the world use music to celebrate, commemorate, communicate, worship, and share their deepest emotions—to express what words cannot. Students who major in music can focus on the art of performing, the history of music, music technology, the role of music in culture, and methods of teaching music.
