About

Abertay University is proud of their students and graduates, and they believe there's no better place to study if students are looking for a degree that helps them become an exceptional candidate in an increasingly competitive job market. Abertay is small and they like it that way! It gives them room to get to know each student, and provide them with the kind of personal and academic support they won't find at a larger university.  Abertay degrees are vocational, which means the skills and knowledge students learn are created in partnership with the industry. Students can get their CV in shape while studying through a series of work placements, and they learn first hand from local and international companies.

Abertay University offers world-leading courses in computer arts and computer games technology, as well as expertise in business, engineering, health, science and sport. It is a specialist university with internationally recognized tech-driven degrees such as Ethical Hacking and Computer Games, as well as top Business and Social Science degrees. One of Abertay’s core strengths is computer games education, with students travelling from across the world to study in Dundee. Games technology is also being harnessed at Abertay to solve problems in cancer drug discovery, climate change and environmental science.

Why Abertay University

  • Location: With a population of less than 150,000, Dundee is a small city, but it’s a city that’s big on creativity! • Campus: The University is conveniently located on a city centre campus, with all of its buildings within a quarter of a mile of each other. Shops, recreational facilities and the main bus and train stations are a short walk away.
  • Leisure Activities: Abertay has over 20 sports clubs ranging from traditional sports such as rugby and football through to new exciting sports such as skydiving and ultimate Frisbee.
  • Social Life: From Brewdog, to the DCA (Dundee Contemporary Arts), to the Olympia swimming pool, students have got plenty of options to unwind from their studies.
