About
College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is Newfoundland and Labrador’s (NL) public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back over 55 years. Today, College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, which include facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying at various partner universities in China; and, a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East. In NL, CNA has over 100 full-time program offerings for approximately 9,000 students each year.
CNA continues to have the lowest tuition fees of any post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada. CNA offers an impressive world-class, nationally accredited range of programming that meets the highest demands of industry; transferability opportunities that promote continuing education at home and abroad; research and development leadership in the community and regional innovation; and, precedent-setting international partnerships. The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

Accommodations
Students need to plan their accommodations well in advance of their arrival as all accommodation options fill up quickly, well before the start of the semester.
On-Campus residence accommodations are provided per discretion by the school.
The local area has a variety of off-campus rental housing options including single homes, duplexes, apartments and rooms for rent. Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.
There are a wide variety of homestay options available, and our partners do their best to match students and hosts according to their interests and preferences. Homestay hosts include single people, young couples with children and pets, and older couples. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.
