Features

61 out of 61 programs are eligible for Temporary Graduate Visa.

The Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) allows international students who have recently graduated from an Australian institution to live, study, and work in Australia temporarily after they finish their studies.
This visa is divided into two streams:

  • Graduate Work stream – For international students who have skills and qualifications that relate to an occupation on Australia's Skilled Occupation List. This stream grants a visa for up to 18 months.
  • Post-Study Work stream – For international students who have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian institution. This stream can grant a visa for 2 to 4 years depending on the qualification level (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree).

The Temporary Graduate Visa helps graduates gain work experience in Australia, and in some cases, it may also help them qualify for a skilled migration visa if they meet additional criteria.

Internships may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid positions.

If a student does not meet the minimum English requirement, they can still be conditionally accepted to their program of choice, on the condition of completing the Deakin University English for Academic Purposes program at the Melbourne Burwood campus prior to starting their chosen program. Please note that the Melbourne Burwood campus is quite far from the Geelong Waurn Ponds location.
