As a freshman, students will live right on campus in one of Texas State's beautiful residence halls. Students can choose from 23 locations across campus, with 2 more opening in 2024. All are close to facilities they will need like the student center, the gymnasium, and the library.
  • Student Life: Student life Texas State is just as rich as their academics. There’s no limit to the ways students can find new experiences, meet new people, and get engaged with campus life. Get wild on an excursion with Outdoor Recreation or join friends to hear up-and-coming bands down on Cheatham Street.
  • Experiential Learning: Together, Austin, San Antonio, and San Marcos comprise the Innovation Corridor—the center of commerce, technology, and education in Texas. Internships and Optional Practical Training opportunities are abundant in Texas, and the state has one of the top-ranked economies in the nation.
  • Location:  San Marcos is conveniently located between two of the largest U.S. cities, Austin and San Antonio. Austin is the place for students to explore parks, visit world-class museums, and celebrate at music, film, and food festivals.
