Trinity Western University (TWU) is a Christian University of the arts, sciences, and professions, legislated by British Columbia to serve the public. Recognized for quality, TWU is consistently ranked among the top two universities in Canada for Educational Experience by the National Survey of Student Engagement; holds three Canada Research Chairs; wins National Championships in CIS sports; and emphasizes experiential learning to prepare graduates to make a global impact. TWU offers 42 bachelor’s degrees, 16 graduate degrees, and adult degree-completion programs. The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

The IRCC has published a preliminary list of programs that are eligible for the PGWPP. Based on our current knowledge, which is subject to change, these programs align with five field of study categories:

  • agriculture and agri-foods
  • healthcare
  • science/technology/engineering/mathematics (STEM)
  • trade
  • transport

    Cooperative education (or co-operative education) and internships are methods of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience ("co-op"), provides academic credit for structured job experience. Co-ops are full-time, paid or unpaid positions. Internships may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid positions.
    If students do not meet the minimum English requirements, they may get conditionally accepted into the program of their choice with the condition of completing an approved English program prior to starting their chosen program.

    Students need to plan their accommodations well in advance of their arrival as all accommodation options fill up quickly, well before the start of the semester.

    On-Campus Residence Accommodations

    On-Campus residence accommodations are provided per discretion by the school.

    Off-Campus Accommodations

    The local area has a variety of off-campus rental housing options including single homes, duplexes, apartments and rooms for rent. Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.

    Homestay

    There are a wide variety of homestay options available, and our partners do their best to match students and hosts according to their interests and preferences. Homestay hosts include single people, young couples with children and pets, and older couples. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.
