About

Greenwich is not just a group of students and staff—it is a vibrant community brought together by a shared passion for learning. The University of Greenwich offers courses designed to equip you with the skills employers seek and the confidence to accomplish remarkable goals.

With historic campuses in London and Kent, the university provides top-tier facilities, inspiring instruction, and a welcoming, diverse environment. The teaching staff are highly qualified experts, most holding formal teaching credentials, and many have valuable experience in business or industry.

Students have access to outstanding study resources, including state-of-the-art laboratories for science and engineering, as well as three campus libraries supported by dedicated academic services librarians.

Why the University of Greenwich

Beautiful, inspiring locations: The iconic Greenwich Maritime World Heritage Site receives millions of tourists each year who visit the Royal Observatory meridian line, Cutty Sark ship, historic market, museums and, of course, the ORNC. The campus can be seen in many movies including Skyfall and Pirates of the Caribbean, and TV series such as The Crown.

Facilities to shape your future: Since 2013, the university has invested more than £150 million in laboratories, teaching spaces and student facilities.

Advancing knowledge at Greenwich:  Research addresses some of the world's most challenging issues, from global health to public safety. Current investigations include mosquito-carried diseases, such as malaria and the Zika virus, and the use of 3D printers for medical implants. Other projects include life-saving research into evacuating difficult environments, such as high-rise construction sites, and understanding the links between politics and the economy.

Taught by passionate people: Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Silver rating in 2017 and Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellowships for a large number of our teaching staff.
