About

University of New England (UNE) is one of Australia’s oldest universities, with a reputation for excellence in teaching, learning and research. UNE has over 22,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate coursework, as well as Higher Degree Research programs across various fields of study. With one of the lowest staff-to-student ratios among Australian universities, UNE gives students the chance to interact more easily with their classmates and academic staff. Smaller class sizes also means that students are not just a number at UNE. One of the things international students like most about UNE is that lecturers and academic staff know their names.

UNE Sydney welcomes students to study from Parramatta, Sydney’s multicultural capital and fastest-growing economy. The campus is designed to meet the learning and support needs for UNE Sydney's predominately online city-based students and on-campus international students in select courses. An inspiring campus in the middle of the CBD where students have the opportunity to network with neighbouring businesses, access a comprehensive transport network, and indulge in a flourishing food scene – UNE Sydney has everything a student needs to thrive.

Features

0 out of 5 programs are eligible for Temporary Graduate Visa.

The Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) allows international students who have recently graduated from an Australian institution to live, study, and work in Australia temporarily after they finish their studies.
This visa is divided into two streams:

  • Graduate Work stream – For international students who have skills and qualifications that relate to an occupation on Australia's Skilled Occupation List. This stream grants a visa for up to 18 months.
  • Post-Study Work stream – For international students who have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian institution. This stream can grant a visa for 2 to 4 years depending on the qualification level (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree).

The Temporary Graduate Visa helps graduates gain work experience in Australia, and in some cases, it may also help them qualify for a skilled migration visa if they meet additional criteria.
