2 Semester Pathway (Standard GGP) - Undergraduate - Transfer to Bachelor of Science - Environmental Science

The International Year is a 1, 2, 3 or 4-semester program, equivalent to a year's study of a bachelor's degree. This program has been specially designed to prepare international students for an undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Students will learn in a supportive environment, helping students to adjust to their new surroundings. The International Year program will be a combination of English for Academic Purposes courses to develop English language skills, and route specific courses. Each of these courses has been specially designed to help develop the skills required to help students succeed in their University degree. During the pathway program, students may be able to earn up to 24 credits towards their degree.

The mission of the Bachelor of Science program in Environmental Science is to educate students to succeed in their chosen careers, to transfer environmental knowledge to the community and to peers, and to provide an environmentally literate workforce and citizenry. The program is intended to provide the environmental science major with a broad foundation in the sciences and mathematics, as well as specialized knowledge in marine and coastal resources, Earth system science, environmental health and monitoring, policy and regulations, and science education concentration areas. The environmental science curriculum prepares students for career positions in environmental science or science education, or for further professional development.
