3 Semester Pathway (Standard GGP) - Undergraduate - Transfer to Bachelor of Business Administration - Economics

The International Year is a 1, 2, 3 or 4-semester program, equivalent to a year's study of a bachelor's degree. This program has been specially designed to prepare international students for an undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Students will learn in a supportive environment, helping students to adjust to their new surroundings. The International Year program will be a combination of English for Academic Purposes courses to develop English language skills, and route specific courses. Each of these courses has been specially designed to help develop the skills required to help students succeed in their University degree. During the pathway program, students may be able to earn up to 24 credits towards their degree.

The economics major is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the theory and applications of economics in preparation for their chosen profession. Possible career opportunities for graduates include entry-level positions as research and financial analysts in the business and government sectors; and brokerage and currency traders in the financial and banking sectors. In addition, the economics major offers an excellent preparation for graduate studies in law, economics and other business disciplines.
