The Business Management, BA Hons degree is for newcomers to managerial roles or anyone with some practical managerial experience who wants to develop their management skills across business and management disciplines.
Students will develop a broad understanding of business management essentials by learning about leadership and management skills, business strategy, organizational behavior, cross-cultural management, business research methods, ethics, marketing, and finance. They can also choose a project type that suits their interests (dissertation, consultancy project, or international entrepreneurship project).
Work placements are a part of the sandwich year, and students are responsible for arranging their placement with support from the University. Previous students have secured a placement year at the NHS, Santander, Net-A-Porter, Intel and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. In addition to this, learners can also opt for internships that last for a minimum of six weeks. They can gain a Certificate in Professional Practice and valuable employment experience before graduating.
