Program Summary

Program Description

The combined 4 year programme allows students with lower academic marks, or whose qualifications are not equivalent to British A Levels, to gain the necessary qualifications to proceed to undergraduate study.  After completing the Foundation Year, students will be eligible to progress to a number of University of Chester undergraduate programmes.

At Chester Business School they bring studying Events Management to life with inspiring and real experiences, interactive learning, access and exposure to the industry, and an opportunity for students to develop and manage their own events. This means that Chester develops outstanding, career ready, events professionals.

Volunteering is an important element of the course that will help students to really stand out when they enter the industry. There is  an exciting and diverse range of volunteering opportunities such as Chester Christmas parades, regional and national sporting events, music festivals and cultural events.

Students are equipped with much more than events management subject knowledge. Chester will help students develop the extra skills that employers are seeking. The world of events management is highly competitive, diverse and dynamic, but students will leave Chester with experiences that will give them an edge at interview and in the workplace. Chester works closely with the Association of Events Management Educators (AEME) and with key stakeholders in the events industry to ensure content is up to date, industry relevant, and embeds key events management skills throughout the course.
