Bachelor of Business Administration - Economics

4-Year Bachelor's Degree

Program Summary

Economics studies the use of scarce resources to satisfy unlimited wants. The department’s introductory courses meet the need for basic economic and legal understanding in a complex modern society. Upper-division economics and business law courses build upon this foundation.

The bachelor of business administration in economics (BBA) program at the McCoy College of Business emphasizes a foundational understanding of the business field. Our BBA program is designed with a greater focus on real-world applications of business and includes courses in business, management, law, finance, international economics, entrepreneurship and technology in the business world, among others.

Texas State’s BBA in economics program will aid students in developing a deep understanding of micro and macroeconomics, as well as help them cultivate their analytical, data analysis, writing, critical thinking and communication skills. The bachelor of business administration in economics is ideal for students who are interested in either entering the job market right after graduation or who want to pursue a graduate degree.
