Program Summary
In studying Law with Criminology, students will examine the causes and effects of criminal behaviour, its impact on the criminal justice system, and the methods for prevention. In the Law School, they also offer a range of additional opportunities such as inviting in guest lecturers and organising mooting and debating sessions.
In studying Law (LLB) students will explore all aspects of the legal system from a practical professional basis to a wider social and theoretical setting. At Chester, they maintain strong links with the local legal profession and offer extracurricular opportunities, such as mooting, debating and guest lectures, to further enhance their employability.
As well as covering the major legal areas one would expect, at Chester they provide a number of optional modules, allowing students to develop their studies to their own interests.
At Chester, they use links with the local legal community to enhance their provision (e.g. guest lectures) and to help students make the most of their Work Based Learning placements during the second year.
