Program Summary

Biology is the study of living things and encompasses every aspect of their existence from zygote to maturity. Biological sciences include studies of organisms and their component parts as well as the environment in which they live.  Accordingly, every faculty member in the department is involved in the undergraduate program in biology.  

Undergraduate students in Biology have a broad range of courses from which to choose in pursuit of their degree and are encouraged to engage in internships and undergraduate research.  The degree program in Biology prepares students for entrance into medical or other professional schools as well as graduate programs or entry into the workforce in laboratories or the field.
