Students who undertake the Bachelor of Philosophy/Bachelor of Theology will be encouraged to reflect deeply and critically on the fundamental questions that have perplexed man since ancient times. Students will also be challenged to examine their own beliefs, values and approach to living. A study of philosophy will boost critical thinking abilities and deepen their cultural literacy by exploring how philosophical thought has influenced Western culture.

Students of Philosophy are encouraged to reflect deeply and critically on fundamental questions, and are challenged to examine their own beliefs, values and the practical implications for living. They learn to apply various methods to evaluate the arguments of both Christian and secular thinkers and develop cultural literacy by exploring how philosophical thought has influenced Western culture.

The Theology aspect of the program immerses students in faith, knowledge and values that are at the core of the University's objects.  It offers a thorough and comprehensive grounding in the principal areas of philosophical and theological studies.
