Program Description
The University of Chester's Centre for Foundation Studies offers programmes that enable students to progress to a wide variety of undergraduate degrees across the University. Specialist tutors and excellent pastoral and academic support are available, and subject specific areas of study relating to the chosen degrees programme are integrated within the Foundation pathways. The programmes are designed to offer a specialist pathway for international students that do not currently meet the University's direct entry requirements.
The Centre for Foundation Studies is equipped to provide international students with all the support they need for a welcoming and enjoyable experience in the city and University of Chester.
Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Medical Science
Medical Science is taught by enthusiastic academic and professional staff who will provide continuous support throughout students' studies at Chester Medical School.
At Chester, they use an integrated approach to look at molecular and clinical medicine. The course has a solid theoretical base together with laboratory practicals and clinical skills sessions.
The academic staff are research active and continually strive to promote research within areas of medical science, in which they have published research findings and discussed their work at national and international conferences. Students will have the opportunity to join a research team to undertake their research dissertation in the final year.
This course provides an ideal springboard into postgraduate-entry Medicine or Physician Associate Studies, as well as medical or biomedical research.
