The Master of Arts (Philosophy) program covers the essential analytical skills associated with the study of philosophy and also provides a strong basis for independent research. By undertaking a Master’s degree, students have the opportunity to explore subject areas which are particularly interesting to them and develop them into a research project.

The degree allows students to explore their interest in philosophy, which can help further their current professional skills. Depending on their choice of program, students cover diverse areas such as Natural Law, Cosmology, History of Philosophy, Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Language and Moral Philosophy. The Supervised Research Project also allows a close reading and analysis of a particular text in philosophy.
